Dr Alok Sharma Stem Cell Therapy
Dr Alok Sharma’s stem cell book, Stem Cell Therapy & Neurorehabilitation in Pediatric Neurological Disorders states that recent advances in stem cell therapy provide the hope of developing more effective interventions in treating CP. Research has shown that bone-marrow-derived cells could develop into neural tissue. Injury to the brain at and around the time of birth, leads to the damage of the stem cells in the brain. It is believed that stem cells initiate the repair & regeneration process in the brain by attaching itself to the damaged portions of the child’s brain.
Stem cell therapy makes it possible to restore these lost cells and helps in forming new cells and their connecting cells.
